Q&A

HOW SOON DO I NEED TO BOOK?

I can book out, but unless I say otherwise you can book all the way up to a few days after your wedding! Don't worry about taking the time to ask me if I am booked out, you can make the order and if I am I will immediately refund you. The reason it is best you put in your order is so you can get drop off/shipping info ASAP and not have to wait on my response.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

8-12 weeks. The most important thing when it comes to pressing flowers is to make sure that all of the moisture is removed. It takes time and attention. I want the frame to be perfect, as well as the flowers to be totally preserved. That is why the timing is the way it is! In total your flowers will be in my hands or in the presses for 8-12 weeks, depending on the flower type. It is well worth the wait! I will contact you when it is all finished!

IM NOT FROM UTAH, HOW CAN I GET THIS DONE?

Pressed floral does all US orders! Shipping is not a problem, and there are many ways to get your flowers to me in great condition. Just pay for shipping in your checkout and you will be sent all shipping info post order. You will be in charge of getting your flowers to me. Plan on anything from $20-$200 to ship to me, depending on how fast you choose to ship your bouquet. If your flowers do not get to me in good enough condition, I will let you know, and we will not be able to proceed. All this info plus tips, tricks, and instructions on how to ship your bouquet are sent post order.

HOW DO YOU DO IT?

It has taken me years to learn what I have learned about pressing flowers of all type. I have created my own flower presses and have developed my own technique that works. Pressing flowers is an art that I love learning. I hope to do workshops in the future!

WHAT FLOWERS KEEP THEIR COLOR?

The color staying perfectly is just not guaranteed. Flowers don't stay perfect after going through a process of literally getting the life pressed out of them. The thicker the flower, the more moisture that it holds, therefore the greater chance of losing color. Pinks and reds often times lose their color. Many of my frames look like they hardly lose any color, as a precaution that it is not guaranteed.

HOW SOON DO YOU NEED THE FLOWERS?

The sooner the better. Wedding days and funerals are so so busy, so take your time to breathe. Getting flowers to me within 3 days is ideal. If that is not possible as long as the flowers still have moisture in them, I can still work with them! Usually up to a week is the limit. The way you can know if your flowers are still workable is testing if they crumble or fall apart when you squish your flowers between your fingers. Keep your arrangements in the fridge and/or in water whenever possible to give them life until you can get it to me!

HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

You can pay through my order page! To place your order you pay the total and insert your wedding day, if that date is full after you order I will immediately let you know and refund you your payment.

WILL ALL OF MY FLOWERS BE PRESSED?

Not all will be pressed, and not all that are pressed will be used. I go through and choose the best quality and in best condition flowers to ensure the best final product. I also select the flowers that are the best quality after the pressing process is complete. This is all part of my artistic personality and my hope to create the best product for you.

WILL COLORS FADE AFTER THE BOUQUET IS ALREADY FRAMED?

Flowers will continue to fade for their entire lifetime. If you take care of your frame additional fading can be minimized. The more your frame is exposed to sunlight, the greater chance/speed of fading. When you get your frame it WILL fade more than what you see. Enjoy the frame for decades to come!

IS THERE ANY FLOWERS THAT CAN NOT BE PRESSED?

I have tried my best to learn to press all types of flowers! There are some that are just too thick, or contain too much moisture they are not possible. Any flower that can not be thinned as an example, silver brunia balls, pin cushions, etc. Artificial flowers are also very common in floral arrangements. These are fine for the end product! However, if the artificial flowers are too thick they will not be able to be framed, so those depend on if they are thin enough or not. Since flowers are an organic medium, I can not guarantee the final product.

CAN YOU INCORPORATE RIBBONS, PENDANTS, OTHER SENTIMENTAL ITEMS, ETC.?

Unless it is a thin piece of paper it can not be incorporated. Anything that is not a pressable flower that you would like to keep, do not send to me! I do not want it to get lost in the process. Any additional requests you can ask me directly!
